Freyja is the ancient Norse goddess of war and beauty, and is a fitting name for this simple knit.
The Freyja sweater is made from undyed wool from the Icelandic Gilhagi small spinning mill, undyed Kainuu grey yarn from the Finnish small spinning mill Saimas Spinnery and a little bit of Rannikkia wool from Myrskyluoto adds color.
The pattern starts on the sleeves and body before the yoke is joined, so be careful with the number of stitches.

The shirt is at its best when you're outdoors; the thick, dense knit keeps you warm in all weathers and the high collar protects you from wind and drafts. Laava is an unbeatable garment for any outdoor activity!
Like many Icelandic knits, the sleeves are knitted first, then the body and finally the yoke, which connects them into a finished garment. You can adjust the height of the collar to your needs. The shirt uses simple techniques, so you can enjoy the flow of knitting. With this pattern, you can easily succeed!
