FROSTROS

Frostrós (ice flower) is a light and soft dress that is wonderful to wrap up in in the cooler weather. The model dress is hazy light, but dark and strong tones suit it just as well. The dreamy light but warm dress is knitted from double Istex Pöltulop, which you can also replace with double Letlop or Alafosslop if you wish, as long as you remember to adjust the handwork according to the pattern density.

The wool of Icelandic sheep has developed in the harsh conditions of the northern island nation and is characterized by good resistance to wind and humidity. In Iceland, clothes made from these wools are used a little, depending on the thickness, both as inner and outer clothes.

In an Icelandic sweater, you can go outside very well even in a little frost or in a light rain, especially when the surface of the garment has become wrinkled due to post-treatment and use. Thanks to its fit, it also fits well under outerwear.

MATERIALS, SIZES AND ACCESSORIES
Istex Álafosslopi 100g/100m or Istex Plötulopi 100g/300m in double and 80 cm circular needles and double pointed needles 7 and 8 mm or depending on the craft. More detailed materials can be found in the attached pictures.

Note the density of the instructions is 14 s / 10 cm, ensure the handwriting by knitting closed stockinette stitch. Note Be careful with the knitting density, because the difference of even a couple of stitches affects not only the width of the work but also e.g. to the height of the arch!
