GLITRANDI

Glitrandi (sparkling) blouse and skirt is sporty outdoor clothing that will do well even if the weather is freezing. However, the model is femininely designed and close-fitting. You can wear the clothes together or separately. The skirt is an ideal hiking garment, keeping the hip and bottom warm even when sitting on a rock.

On a dark background, the light patterns of the blouse and skirt create a strong contrast and the patterns can really shine and sparkle. The model works really beautifully also with light and delicate tones. You can also replace the Alafosslopi yarn used in model clothes with double Lettlop or Plötulop if you wish.

The wool of Icelandic sheep has developed in the harsh conditions of the northern island nation and is characterized by good resistance to wind and humidity. In Iceland, clothes made from these wools are used a little, depending on the thickness, both as inner and outer clothes.

In an Icelandic sweater, you can go outside very well even in a little frost or in a light rain, especially when the surface of the garment has become wrinkled due to post-treatment and use. Thanks to its fit, it also fits well under outerwear.

MATERIALS, SIZES AND ACCESSORIES
Istex Álafosslopi 100g/100m or Istex Plötulopi 100g/300m in double and 80 cm circular needles and double pointed needles 7, 8 and 4.5 mm or depending on the craft. More detailed materials can be found in the attached pictures.

Note the density of the instructions is 14 s / 10 cm, ensure the handwriting by knitting closed stockinette stitch. Note Be careful with the knitting density, because the difference of even a couple of stitches affects not only the width of the work but also e.g. to the height of the arch!
