COURT
The skirt is made using Harmaala yarn spun by Saimas Spinnery, which is made from the wool of the rare Kainuu Grey sheep. The wool is combed and has a unique silky sheen. The wool skirt is soft and warm, suitable for both summer and winter use. The textured knit patterns make the knit lively, and knitting is not boring!
There are two versions of the skirt: A-line and straight.
The A-line skirt is knitted from the hem to the waist, starting from the hemline. After the hemline, stitches are increased so that the width matches the width of the ribbing and cable knit. Decreases are made in the side ribbing and in the upper part of the skirt. Finally, the waistband casing is knitted.
The straight model has ribbing at the bottom edge, and decreases only in the upper part of the skirt.

MATERIALS, SIZES AND SUPPLIES
Yarn: Saimas Spinnery Harmaala grey, 200 m / 100 g according to the table below, or other yarn of similar meterage.
Needles: 80 cm circular needles and double-pointed needles 3.5 mm or according to your gauge to achieve the stated density. Cable needle. You can also knit cables without an auxiliary needle.

Note. The gauge for the pattern is 22 sts / 10 cm in stockinette stitch, 27 sts / 10 cm in twisted rib, 30 sts / 10 cm in pattern knit. Verify your gauge by making a swatch. Note. Be precise with the knitting gauge, as even a difference of a couple of stitches will affect not only the width of the work but also, for example, the height of the yoke!

Cable knit reduces the circumference of the knit and stretches, so take this into account when choosing a size. The given measurements are estimates, as cable knit is denser than stockinette stitch. The lengths of the sleeves and body can be knitted as needed, example measurements are in the instructions.
