cable knit dress uses a rare Harmaala yarn spun by Saimas Spinnery, which is made from the wool of the kainuunharmas sheep. The wool is combed and has a unique silky sheen. The dress is soft and warm, and is suitable for both summer and winter wear.
Allow plenty of time to make the dress, and remember that the journey is as important as the destination. Cable patterns make the surface come alive, and knitting is not boring! The model is narrow, so take that into account when choosing a size.
The dress has raglan sleeves and is made with circular needles without seams. Shortened layers made with the German short row technique help shape the necklines.

MATERIALS, SIZES AND ACCESSORIES
Yarn: Saimas Spinnery Gray light, 200 m / 100 g according to the table below, or another yarn with similar yardage.
Needles: 80 cm circular needles and double pointed needles 3.5 mm or according to the pattern to achieve the specified density. Cable needle. You can also knit cables without a cableneedle.

Note the gauge of the instructions is 22 s / 10 cm of stockinette stitch, ensure the handwriting by knitting closed stockinette stitch. Note Be careful with the knitting density, because the difference of even a couple of stitches affects not only the width of the work but also e.g. to the height of the arch!

The cable knit reduces the circumference of the dress and stretches, so take this into account when choosing your size. The dress also shortens as it stretches, so ensure the length by fitting. The measurements given are estimates because the braided knit is denser than the plain knit. The width of the braids with the given density is approx. 56 cm in total, the rest of the width comes from plain knit. If necessary, you can reduce or increase the number of stitches in the stockinette stitch. The lengths of the sleeves and the bodice can be knitted as needed, sample measurements in the instructions.
