KARAMELLUR
Couldn't load pickup availability
Karamellur (caramel), or candy in Finnish, is a wonderfully colorful and feminine piece of outdoor clothing for spring.
You can quickly knit it with double Plötulop and use all your favorite colors for the delicious caramel patterns in the yoke. If necessary, you can replace some of the Plötulop with Álafosslop or double Léttlop.
According to most Icelandic knitting patterns, the sleeves are knitted first, then the body and finally the yoke connecting them. The hood completes the look and usability of the garment, and its decoration is the same caramel pattern that continues on the back edge as the yoke. Always make sure the pattern matches by knitting a sample patch.
Have fun knitting!
MATERIALS, SIZES AND ACCESSORIES
Plötulopi 100g/300m or Istex Léttlopi 50g/100 m in double layers and 80 cm circular needles 7 mm and double pointed needles 3.5 mm or according to your handiwork. More detailed materials can be found in the accompanying images.
Note. The pattern has a gauge of 13 sts / 10 cm, ensure the correct size by knitting in closed stocking stitch. Note: Be careful with the gauge, as a difference of even a couple of stitches affects not only the width of the piece but also the height of the yoke!
