Lava sweater is knitted from Icelandic wool from Gilhag spinning mill and Åland sheep wool from Myrskyluodon wool.
The yoke of the Lava shirt has a surface knit that reminds you of sheep's hair, and it has a simple, classic design.
The shirt is at its best when going out; the thick tight knit keeps you warm in any weather and the high collar protects against wind and wind. Lava is an unbeatable garment for any outdoor activity!
Like many Icelandic knits, the sleeves are knitted first, then the cuffs, and finally the yoke, which joins them together to form a finished garment. You can adjust the height of the collar according to your needs. The shirt uses simple techniques, so you can enjoy the flow of knitting. You can easily succeed with this instruction!
MATERIALS, SIZES AND ACCESSORIES
Gilhagi Ær Medium 2 ply 100 g / 200 m 100 g.
Myrskyluoto's wool, double-stranded yarn, approx. 100 g / 195 m 100 g . 80 cm circular needles and double pointed needles 4.5 mm or size needed to obtain gauge. More detailed materials can be found in the attached pictures.
Note the gauge of the instructions is 19 s / 10 cm, swatch in stockinette st in the round to ensure correct gauge. Note Be careful with the knitting density, because the difference of even a couple of stitches affects not only the width of the work but also e.g. to the height of the yoke!
