The Old Timer Icelandic sweater is a wonderful outdoor garment for knitters who value tradition and warmth. It is knitted from Álafosslop or double Plötulop. Old Timer is really fast, easy and simple to knit. I designed the original shirt back in 2018 and now I made an updated version of the instructions; in the original shirt, the patterns don't start until the hem, and in the new version already on the sleeves and body. The newer version also has a high polo collar.

Enjoyable knitting moments!

MATERIALS, SIZES AND ACCESSORIES

Istex Álafosslopi 100g/100m or Plötulopi 100g/300m in double and 80 cm circular needles 7 mm and double pointed needles 5.5 mm or depending on the pattern. More detailed materials can be found in the attached pictures.

Note the density of the instructions is 13 s / 10 cm, ensure the handwriting by knitting closed stockinette stitch. Note Be careful with the knitting density, because the difference of even a couple of stitches affects not only the width of the work but also e.g. to the height of the arch!
