The braided dress is made from Harmaala yarn spun by Saimas Spinnery, which is made from the wool of the Kainuu Grey sheep. The wool is combed and has a unique silky sheen. The dress is soft and warm, and is suitable for both summer and winter wear.
The braid patterns make the surface lively and knitting is not boring! The sweater has a v-neck and dropped shoulders. The top of the front and back are knitted flat, and connected by grafting, and there are no seams. The shoulders are shaped by shortened layers made with the German short row technique.

MATERIALS, SIZES AND ACCESSORIES
Yarn: Saimas Spinnery Grey brown, 200 m / 100 g according to the table below, or other yarn with similar flow.
Needles: 80 cm circular needles and double pointed needles 3.5 mm or according to your hand size to achieve the stated density. Cable needle. You can also knit the braids without a connecting needle.

Note. The pattern has a gauge of 22 sts / 10 cm in stocking stitch, ensure the correct size by knitting in closed stocking stitch. Note: Be careful with the gauge, as a difference of even a couple of stitches will affect not only the width of the piece but also the height of the yoke!

Cable knit reduces the circumference of the dress and stretches, so take this into account when choosing a size. The dress also shortens as it stretches, so make sure to try on the length. The measurements given are approximate, because cable knit is denser than stockinette knit. The width of the cables at the given density is approx. 56 cm in total, the rest of the width comes from stockinette knit. You can reduce or increase the number of stitches in stockinette knit if necessary. The lengths of the sleeves and bodice can be knitted as needed, example measurements in the pattern.
